| The elasticity and
density of the foam in your chairs will determine how long they last
without looking saggy and old. It is
pretty difficult to tell the difference on a new chair.
And the foam grading system does not seem to distinguish between an OK
foam and an excellent foam.
But here you can see two seat pads opened up,
and we have tugged at both with the same force. If you
doubt me, I can send them to you to test for yourself.
The seat pad on the left has far less elasticity
and starts to tear easily. That means it will also lose
its shape when regularly compressed.
