Commercialite Folding Tables
Technical Detail

Lightness:  A 6ft Commercialite table weighs 44lbs.  

That is comfortable for a man to handle, but probably slightly too heavy for most women on their own.   The Mity-Lite and Duralite tables are 10-15% lighter still.

Strength:  The Commercialite is capable of taking a weight of 2200 lbs.  

That is the equivalent of around 14 adults weighting 150 lbs each, all standing on the table.   The only other lightweight table on the market, offering anything near this sort of strength is the Mity-Lite.

Finish Durability:  The top is made from High Impact Polyethylene.  

This is a very shock resistant plastic that absorbs the energy of the daily impacts that a folding table gets.  

There are several Polyethylene tables available on the market.   But we specify a table wall thickness 20-30% greater than any other table that I am aware of.   This gives 50%+ greater durability.

You can drop the table straight onto its corner from about knee height without serious damage.   The plastic may deform, but it will not crack or splinter and will tend to regain its shape overnight.

Guaranteed Legs:  The legs are made from steel and have an epoxy paint finish baked onto them.  

The top horizontal tube of each leg passes through the steel runners on either side of the table to form the hinge.   And the runners themselves are bolted through the side walls of the table.   And so the legs cannot be ripped off the table.

Folding Leg Mechanism:   To set the legs you just snap them out from under the table in a single action.   The safety lock then drops into place under gravity when you put the table on its feet.  (NB.  I strongly recommend you not to buy a table without a safety lock, or one that has to be applied manually).

To fold the table, you lay it on its side, move the safety locking ring up the arm of the mechanism, push the frame of the mechanism anywhere on either arm to slightly "break" the straighten position, and then swing the leg into the table.

I do not know of a simpler, quicker or more reliable system than this on the market.
 

Edges, Corners and Lips:   The top is created from a single "blow molding" of high impact plastic.   This means that every edge and corner has a smooth rollover with no cracks, seams or lips.  

This makes the table far easier to keep hygienically clean. 
This also protects the fabric of your building since there are no sharp edges or corners to damage walls and door frames.   And there are no sharp edges or splinters to catch your hands on.
